Our Mission
RealSalary was born from a simple observation: international salaries are difficult to compare. Between social contributions, withholding taxes, tax credits, and cost-of-living differences, the real disposable income is often very different from the figure advertised in a job offer. Our mission is to make this information accessible to everyone, instantly and free of charge.
How It Works
Enter your gross salary and country. Our built-in calculation engines (10 countries) apply the official social contribution and tax brackets to compute your real net salary. Then we apply the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) index to compare purchasing power across countries — because €50,000 net in Paris is not worth the same as €50,000 net in Geneva.
Why Is It Free?
RealSalary is an independent tool, with no intrusive ads or data monetization. We believe salary transparency is a common good. The site is maintained by data and international mobility enthusiasts.
